2007 In Review And What’s Coming In 2008

We’ve talked about so many things this year… As I look back over my blogs, emails, videos, and more, I think I can safely say that I am one of VERY few marketers who actually teach. Most people just send you emails to buy this and that. Yeah, I do too, but my main focus is and always will be to teach you, and that’s what I’ve spend a big part of 2007 doing, and will be doing even more in 2008.

We’ve talked about things this year all the way from having a big time business to making just a few extra thousand dollars a month… I cover both of these things because I have such a diverse readership. I can’t be everything to everyone, but I can offer a little something for everyone, and these are the two main things I do and will continue focusing on.

If you aren’t making any money online yet, welcome to your cross roads. You’ve come a long way. You’re probably really frustrated. You’ve probably spent way too much money and have gotten no where. So now you stand at the end of the road, and there’s a fork. You have two options at this point…

1. Create a big time business online with information products.
2. Find a system (or two) that will allow you to make $XX each month.

Do you want a real business or just want extra money. Those are your two choices. Once you decide there, then you can continue on with a plan to do either one.

There is no right or wrong answer. It’s whatever you want to do, but I want you to make a decision and commit to it. Quit chasing the dream and become proactive. (That’s my new word for the year. :) )

You’ve got to DO something no matter what you choose, and in 2008 I’m going to be helping you create your plan, implement it, and profit from it no matter what your decision is.

For those of you who just want to make some extra cash, we’re going to be looking at many systems this year that will allow you to do just that. We’ll be looking at many aspects of making money online, and I’ll help you determine if they’re for you or not.

For those of you who want a real business like I detailed here imtruth.com/im-truth-newsletter/my-2008-million-dollar-plan we’re really going to be diving in in 2008 and talking about building business from the ground up, how to get more traffic, and a lot about automating your business, so you have more time to do the things you love to do. :)

In 2007 we covered that the best way to start a real business was to have your own product. By having your own product, not only can you make sales, but you can build a list, an affiliate force, get joint venture partners, make money on affiliate sales, and so much more.

Okay, so what’s your decision? It’s time to poop or get off the pot as they say…. Are you an…

Extra Money Marketer?

or

Big Time Biz Marketer?

Whatever you decide, I’ll be taking you there in 2008, but you’ve got to decide before you go any further. That way you can keep on the right path to creating your plan and profiting from it!

Here’s to an AWESOME 2008!

  1. I’m a Big Time Biz Marketer! Well at least I will be. :)

To start this year off right, I made a list of my resolutions and turned it into a sale at resolutionsale.com, my first sale ever! So far the sale is going somewhat slow, probably due to the holidays and my difficulty in reaching JV partners, but the sale is converting at 3% and the OTO is converting at 85% so I can only hope that will keep up!

Happy New Year, blessings to all!

  2. Liz,

I love reading your blog posts. We sound alot alike, although you definitely got a head start in the direct marketing biz (working in direct mail & then understood the potential of IM).

I made the leap with every ounce of me… into a fulltime IM business in December 2006.

In a roundabout way (without beating people over the head)… you’ve basically said “make a decision” one way or another. Alot of people tend to “sit on the fence” because they’re afraid of failure… and in some cases… success.

Being non-committal is the worst thing I could’ve chosen… although sacrificing everything I’ve ever known & worked for was a tough decision at the time.

Keep up the great work, don’t change, and I can’t wait to see the next post… because they always rock! :)

your house is filled with Bratz and Barbie like mine!

  4. Hi Liz:

I enjoy your emails and posts.

It take me awhile to “believe” that a successful online business person would really want to help, truly help others to achieve success online too. Many say they will help but really only want your money.

I believe you are sincere and I thank you for being so.

At the end of 2007, I finished an info ebook (not big about 20 pages) full of good resources and genuine guided information. I now need to market it, promote it, get a targeted list, etc. In the process of writing a follow up info ebook related to same subject.

I am hoping you can help towards my business success in 2008…thank you and Happy New Year

  5. Liz:

To be honest I have received your emails over the past few months, but only gave them a casual viewing. I get so much email, that it is hard to decide who is “real” and who is just trying to get my money. Believe me, some have got my money and I have not profited by their wisdom. Sometimes the “wisdom” is only surface “deep” and after they get your funds, they disappear.

Others mean well, but either can’t deliver or are overwhelmed by the response of those in need of help.

I have tried on my own to get two different sites up, but as of this date I am still lost in a world of unbelievable chaos of information.

I have finally decided that trying to do what others are doing in terms of “product” will not work for me…I have the product an it is…“ME”. I feel that my professional training and experience can help others, therefore, I need to produce a site that allows me to help others and in return the site will benefit me, both emotionally and financially.

I know I want to be the winner of being a “Big Time Biz Marketer”. Why? Because I know I can do it on the web just as successful as I have done it with individuals and groups in my own community. Also, the revenue from the site will allow me to get back on my feet, to provide for my family and allow me to provide more assistance to those in need of my particular services.

A few years back I had a terrible loss. I lost my son of 12 years to an accident which caused a lot of emotional unrest. Then I had a financial set-back that further devastated me and my family. These situations have haunted me to the point of losing faith in myself and my ability to earn an income.

Last year (2007) I decided to that I had to move forward and to “get off the pot,” but I made some wrong choices in terms of Seminars, Workshops, EBooks, Tapes and other items. I spent more money and time then they were worth. In return, I did not move forward, which is my fault and I accept the blame. I made some wrong choices without doing my homework.

Well the time has come for me to get off of the “feeling sorry for me” and to decide the “direction I want to take”. I know what I want to do, the particulars of the site, but what holds me back is the mechanics of the site itself.

As I write this, I am still not sure why I decided to read your email and the Blog today, but it did seem like it was pointing at me. I know I am not the only one in this situation, but you do feel alone and that no one out there really cares. I know I will struggle as I go from one step to the next, but I know I am determined to keep moving forward and to be successful. It may take one month, six months or another year, but I am determined it will happen!

Thanks for listening and I am here to learn.

  6. Nelson,

Awesome job on your sales letter! The video is AWESOME. Great job. You took action and got something going. I am SOOO proud of you!

    Liz

  7. All of these comments are awesome. I am SO glad that posts like these really get a hold of you guys.

Keep going though… Don’t stop now. You get inspired by me, but you gotta keep going!

    Liz

  8. Happy New Year Liz,

Just wanted to say, you have a way of throwing down the gauntlet that challenges me without intimidating me. Honestly, sometimes your posts and newsletters gets lost in the sea of information overload I’ve become accustomed to, but you are by far, the best and most real of the “gurus” I have come across.

My goal this year is to be proactive (my word for the year also) and commit to one, ONE, program and see it through. I seem to keep missing your programs as they become available but will be on the look-out for the next opportunity to learn/work with you.

I am a big time internet marketer in a newbie’s body waiting to come out. This is my year, and with your help, there is no doubt my 2009 resolution will be to find positive ways to share all the wealth I’ve made in 2008 with you.

    Best regards,
    Robert Arciola
